We can no longer entrust our future to party politicians, whose allegiance to the people is contaminated by party and other minority interests.
Only ballots in our parliaments, for the election of ministers, and for decisions on all debated issues, can bring about the political decisiveness, the accountability, independent representation and the participation of the people, in a genuine democracy which alone can enable an effective and prompt response to the problems of our world.
Global warming, resource depletion, population explosion, religions, all threaten us with much greater political pressures in the future, and the involvement of the people, and their wisdom, will be essential to face the sacrifices that our need and hope for a just world cannot escape.
The Campaign for Secret Ballots in Parliament with Grass Roots Democracy
Our sole objective:
The adoption (by referendum) of the secret ballot in our parliaments, to freely elect each Minister and determine the outcome of each debate.
By disconnecting our representatives from party power in parliament and reconnecting them to their constituents in local public meetings, this reform has the power to 'change the face of politics', by referendum, for ever.

- End party-line voting,
- Abolish party control of its members,
- Remove the confrontation and fears of party politics,
- Bring forth objective, efficient, calm debate in parliament,
- Abolish unwarranted secrecy,
- Create open government,
- Mean real representation by our own representatives,
- Cause MPs to convene regular local meetings to work together with their constituents.

Our Ballots In Parliament Campaign
welcomes all who wish to advance the cause of real democracy, which means that:
1. all debated issues will be decided in parliament by secret ballots of all the members,
2. the appointment of ministers will be decided in parliament by secret ballots of all the members, so
3. the executive will serve the parliament and do as the members decide,
4. all members will be without party clout or support, and
5. will therefore actively cultivate their relarionships with their constituents in regular public meetings,
advancing the right and the power of the people to take part in, and responsibility for, the government of the nation.
